Testimonies about our community...
Friends & Neighbors...After being bounced around in the military for 27 years we bought our first “home” at 6251 Bren Mar Drive in Sep. 1979. We have been happy here in Bren Mar Park (BMP). It was a good place to raise two daughters as well. Now: 26 years after moving “in” we move “Out” to Durham, N.C. We have had the good fortune to have some special neighbors in BMP (I won’t name names as I’ll regretfully miss someone). Those neighbors have made BMP a special place to live. We will certainly miss you & remember you often. One of the biggest reasons we came to like BMP was that we got involved in what the neighborhood does to make it better. By joining in the groups that worked toward the betterment of BMP we met great civic minded persons who became friends as well as workers to improve BMP. I urge you to treasure these people as they make your neighborhood a better place to live. For those who don’t care to participate in BMP betterment programs, I urge you at least please support them. You may need their assistance in supporting you at some point. You may just meet some real friends there as well. We leave BMP with many fond memories. People we have met here will remain friends no matter where we live. Thank you to all those who have helped make our stay in BMP a pleasant home because of you...Silvia & Paul Baker, January, 2006
Hello from California...We have moved after forty years of living in that lovely community and miss all the good neighbors but we have joined our children and grandchildren on the West Coast. Needless to say that we spent a very good part of our lives there and enjoyed every day. We shall remember and cherish it always! All the best for the neighborhood and everybody and please forgive us for not saying good bye but at the last moment it was so hectic and time was of the essence with the move. So long!...Antonio and Dafne Murgia
